Loose Watercolor - Less is More?!
Loose Watercolor is a gentle invitation to paint with freedom, trust, and a lighter hand. This full-day immersive class explores how to say more with less—using loose, expressive brushstrokes, intentional placement of just a few marks, and luminous wet-in-wet blending to create paintings full of atmosphere and feeling. Through rich color, softened edges, and simple storytelling, you’ll learn how to suggest rather than define, allowing the watercolor to breathe and the beauty to emerge naturally. Perfect for painters ready to loosen control and discover the quiet magic of restraint.
Through a series of small studies, we will attend to the loose style above…and practice of finding the key value patterns in our paintings, as the most important element to retain in a piece.
WHO? This class is perfect for the beginning artist, or the artist with experience and lingering questions…we’re going loose. That means fast…and fun!
